Restoration to Our Full Humanity ~ to Our Divine Creative Connections
Through my collaborative, arts-informed, social justice, and community building efforts, I seek to facilitate and support the restoration of our personal, interpersonal, and divine “creative connections.”
Whether it be through storytelling, creative witnessing, and/or imaginative visioning as shared and experienced through the visual and performing arts, I hope my work serves to center, value, and validate unheard, misrepresented, and/or marginalized voices in our community, as they find places of honor in building new local and global liberated communities.

Welcome
Through these creative invitations, I hope that young people, their families, and artist partners feel welcome to step into and express their full selves, unencumbered by pretense and pretext.
This means… |
Appreciating and intentionally allowing for and holding sacred times of joy, lament, silliness, fear, fun, and hope ~ as being part of the work, not apart from the work.
|
This means… |
Sharing expectations for the accountability of all to self and to the whole, grace in our humanness/humanity, encouragement in positive risk-taking and good-willed messiness, companionship and support in experimentation, and a place to rest, re-set, re-start, and “do over,” if desired.
|
This means… |
Acknowledging and being instructed by young people’s cultural traditions, identities, understandings, and ways of living and knowing.
|
This means… |
Space, time, artist “tools,” and place to prepare, practice, risk, recover and express agency within the group and outside of the group.
|
As a result, I want all those engaged in this work to feel awake, alive, and vital so that they may celebrate who they are and who they are becoming.
Through art, artistic and creative expression, I hope that young people realize their fullest beings and come into a fuller relationship with the Divine, with themselves, with each other, and with the world around them and make positive change as partners, leaders, and contributors. The spaces that I will work to create foster meaningful, life-affirming relationships, invention of possibilities, reclamation of self, and platforms to dream. |
